Vintage Spoon Ice Cream Franchise FAQ
Chris Collins has always been passionate about food, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences. From his first jobs detasseling corn and working in a pizza restaurant, to assisting with hotel catering in high school, Chris’s early experiences shaped his dream of owning his own restaurant.
That dream led him to Purdue University, where he earned a degree in Restaurant and Hotel Management. During his time there, he also played on the Men’s Soccer Club and gained valuable hands-on experience through internships with industry leaders like Marriott, Crowne Plaza, and Arthur Andersen.
After graduating, Chris honed his skills at Levy Restaurants at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Pacers. Over six years, he managed everything from concessions to private suites, exclusive dining clubs, and in-seat dining for premium guests.
In 2006, Chris made his first leap into entrepreneurship by founding Sophia’s, a successful tuxedo and bridal business in Indianapolis. After selling Sophia’s, he returned to his true passion—food and beverage—spending 15 years as a franchisee of Greek’s Pizzeria while launching his own independent venture, Vintage Spoon Ice Cream Social.
With over 30 years in the food and hospitality industry, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and a vision to Vintage Spoon Ice Cream Social. His goal? To franchise Vintage Spoon and empower others to achieve their own dreams of business ownership.
An Eagle Scout, a former college athlete, and a lifelong entrepreneur, Chris believes dining should be about more than just food—it’s about creating joy and connection. Whether it’s a single scoop or an opportunity to own a Vintage Spoon franchise, he’s passionate about making a difference one sweet moment at a time.
